Delights in Paris: A Weekend Journey

Over the past few years, Paris has made wonderful progress towards becoming a more vegan-friendly city, with numerous plant-based options now available. We only visited for a weekend, but it left us curious to return and discover more. In order to not miss out on too many promising spots, we decided to open this post for guest reviews. If you too have been to Paris and want to share recommendations for a restaurant, café or vegan-related place you have visited, feel free to reach out to us on vanderlustjourney@outlook.com or on instagram (@vanderlustjourney).

Urban Greener: A cosy little vegan restaurant that’s conveniently located just a few streets away from Sacré Coeur. When I visited on a Sunday, it was brunch-time. The plates turned out to be a tasty mix of a soup and a bowl full of flavors topped with fresh micro greens. The dessert consisted of scones with delicious whipped cream, as well as a banana and apple oatmeal.

Riz Riz: This vegan and gluten-free restaurant offers creative, healthy and tasty meals. We had the sweet potato waffles (pictured), a curry and a buddha bowl and left full and satisfied.

Cloud Cakes: A vegan coffee shop and bakery offering a variety of lunch dishes and pastries (try the cupcakes!). Note that they have 2 locations – one in Mandar, one in Lorette.

Jimmy’s Street Food: Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try this one, but it seems like the perfect place for every vegan craving fast food once in a while. Burgers, tenders, fries, mac’n’cheese, cookies, … you name it. According to the reviews, the portions are big and reasonably priced.

Le Potager de Charlotte:

Highly recommend La Potager De Charlotte in Paris. I was surprised but how easily available and affordable vegan food was – almost all restaurants had something vegan that was NOT a salad – but this place just blew my mind with how amazing with was.
